Is 'The Way' a secret?

No. The path of 'no-self' is no secret. It's part of what it means to be human; in fact it IS the path that leads to true humanity. Jesus was correct is stating there is 'only one way', but people don't want to hear that message. It's the 'addicts curse', meaning- no addict wants to be without his/her drug(s); therefore has no 'eyes or ears' for the truth.

Anyone who practices 'attraction' will find they are still stuck in their mental world-view, or 'Samsara' in Buddhist terms. As long as what they want (take note of the taint of desire) comes to them, they will remain stuck in that mental world-view. What one thinks is not WHAT IS; and suffering comes from being disconnected from WHAT IS. Buddhism gets immediately to the solution- 'Life is suffering and there is a cure' (The 4 Noble Truths.) That cure is RELEASE from the limiting mental world-view.

"The law of attraction" doesn't care if you are an addict. The focus is limited to what you want; and getting it. But, if you want to find Peace, Joy (not the same as what is normally called happiness) and Freedom, you'll need to find your TRUE NATURE and leave behind the search for what you want. Desire and it's fulfillment IS what kills (the true and fulfilled human).

Here's a quote from one of the master teachers (this passage has been edited for clarity. Please read it in it's entirety, for MORE wisdom sayings- Mt6.25-34)

DO NOT WORRY (Jesus)

Mt 6.25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

Mt 6.31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'

Mt 6.32 ...your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

Mt 6.33 But seek first his kingdom..., and all these things will be given to you as well.

Mt 6.34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Can you be certain?

. When something happens in your life, how often have you lost your sense of peace? I see this happen to people often; usually peace is relinquished by negative emotions or thoughts. Who in their 'right mind' would relinquish peace for irritation/anger (suffering)? It's obvious that what happens to us isn't unique. No matter what you experience you can always imagine others (or actually know someone) who experience similar things and some could be said to be 'better' or 'worse' off than you are. No one is alone and this is a clue to 'escape' from the judging mind. To judge/label an event as 'GOOD' or 'BAD' can't be completely certain; since either choice presupposes a 'correct' way to decide. There is no way to know which one is correct, and the choice is usually biased by desire, that is, "what do I WANT". When you choose sides you've trapped yourself in a fantasy prison (in your mind). There is no ...

What makes a religious tradition valuable?

. Any particular religious tradition doesn't 'contain' the TRUTH more than another. It's in a tradition's ability to transform a person that makes that tradition valuable. The value or truth in a tradition is subjective, so let go of conviction that causes animosity towards traditions that are different from 'yours'. Matthew
