No one, or 'thing' is the center of the 'universe'! People often think of 'themselves' as special and deserving, more worthy or valuable than 'others'.
By contrast reality is made up of diversity, and all 'things' are 'valuable'. People judge, attaching different values to different 'things'; but these 'value judgments' are based on selfish motives, not how things are.
